This marks a major milestone for the company, which now operates across three continents.
Established in January 2019, Dragon Trails was born out of a passion for discovery, connection, and freedom on two wheels. With a mission to offer authentic and adventurous experiences, the company has since earned a reputation for organizing unique motorbike expeditions that go beyond traditional tourism.
After successful operations in Asia, Dragon Trails made its African debut in January 2022, offering motorbike adventure tours through Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and Togo-Benin. The company maintains an average of 12 scheduled tours per year in Africa, including a remarkable expedition in which 10 riders completed a 75-day journey across 12 countries in East and West Africa - a true testament to Dragon Trails’ pioneering spirit.
Now, Dragon Trails brings its adventure-driven ethos to Latin America - a region that boasts stunning landscapes, vibrant cultures, and endless opportunities for exploration. From jungle-covered mountains to colonial towns and dramatic coastal routes, Latin America offers the perfect backdrop for motorbike travelers seeking both thrill and authenticity.

The debut tour, "Colombia Highlights", leads riders through Colombia’s stunning landscapes on a 10-day motorbike adventure. Highlights include colorful Guatapé, the dramatic canyons of Zapatoca, highland villages like Duitama and Chiquinquirá, and the tropical lowlands of La Dorada. Starting and ending in vibrant Medellín, this tour offers a perfect mix of mountain roads, cultural charm, and breathtaking scenery.
Preparation for the Colombia expansion has been meticulous. In December 2024, Dragon Trails sent a scouting team to Colombia to ride the full route, inspect hotels, test local services, and build strong relationships with Colombian partners. The company is committed to delivering the high-quality experience riders have come to expect.
Tiziana Warmerdam, the tour leader for this pilot tour, has arrived in Colombia in early April 2025 to finalize preparations and ensure every detail was perfected.
